Rams agreement makes Levitra team sponsor
The St. Louis Rams have signed the team's first multiyear sponsorship agreement with pharmaceutical companies, it announced Wednesday. The agreement is with Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), co-marketers of Levitra (vardenafil HCI), recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Levitra is a prescription-only medicine that may be used up to once a day to treat erectile dysfunction, according to a Bayer Web site.

Effective this season, the agreement names Levitra as a sponsor of the St. Louis Rams. Bayer and GSK will have the opportunity to promote the Levitra brand in the Edward Jones Dome through signage, programs, broadcast and online media through the agreeement, the team's release said.

The National Football League announced in July that it had a multiyear sponsorship agreement with Bayer and GSK under which Levitra is an NFL sponsor and has exclusive rights in the men's health category.

Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation is part of the worldwide operations of Bayer HealthCare, a medical products company and subgroup of Bayer AG. GlaxoSmithKline is a research-based pharmaceutical and health-care company.

The St. Louis Rams NFL franchise relocated to St. Louis from Los Angeles in 1995.
